Ok, so, I own an SNES, I love the classics, and I've played quite a few games (I think, maybe) on it. I got an emulator for it a while ago and I figured that I missed a bunch of really good games. So I thought where better to ask for suggestions than here.^^;

I like pretty much any genre, so if you could post any you think are good, I'd be really grateful! Thanks.^^;

Here's a list of games I've played (off the top of my head)

Earthbound
Chrono Trigger
Secret of Mana
Donkey Kong Country (1-3)
Yoshi's Island
Kirby's Dream Land 3 (I think that's what it's called)
F-Zero (haven't played much, I should start up again)
Super Mario RPG
Paperboy (lol, I got tired of it after a while, but fun none the less)
Street Fighter 2
The Final Fantasy's for it

And I can't think of anymore off the top of my head^^; so yeah, if you guys could help me out, that'd be awesome.

You might think I'm joking, but I loved the Power Ranger game for it. And no Super Mario World? Or did you just forget it? Super Metroid maybe? I never played it for a long time, but the Breath of Fires were fun (played it a long time ago, when I was a kid),

I swear man, me and my friends played that for hours (I believe it was co-op). Maybe we enjoyed it more since we watched it during that time too, and we saw all the familiar enemies, but regardless, it was fun.

oh yeah, I know how that is^^ I had a few games like that, I forget which, but I'll have to see if I can get into it! ^^

You didn't add Starwing/Starfox yet. It's an incredible game and revolutionary for it's time.
You must play Lufia (and if you're from the States both Lufia's)
Secret of Evermore is a nice RPG by Squaresoft
Mortal Kombat 2 is great (probably the best MK)
Killer Instinct (Ccccccooombo Breaker!)
Super Mario Kart (!)

I'm only recommending a few, and no first party games, because we already know they're good. These are some of my all-time favorite games that I highly highly highly recommend:


E.V.O.: The Search for Eden
Flashback: Quest for Identity
Legend of the Mystical Ninja
Out of This World
Zombies Ate My Neighbors

Make a list of all SNES games. Cut each game out into little individual strips. Dump in hat. Pull game out of hat. Play.

Seriously, there is like no bad game on the SNES. The good/bad game ratio for that system was huge.


if you're into classics, just look at everyone's top 100 games list, and play all the snes games that are on it.

From what I read in your list, I believe 2 games might interest you a lot. The first is Kirby Super Star which is the best Kirby in my opinion and by far. However, this game is currently being remade for the DS so you might wait for it. The other game is Secret of Mana's sequel, Seiken Densetsu 3. This one has never made it to this side of the Pacific but there are some pretty good translated roms out there.
