Forums - Microsoft - Damn 360

I was enjoying a nice gaming session of some GTA4 and what do you know? my 360 starts making a funny sound, then i get a message saying disk is unreadable. I take out the disk and look at it...and its scratched to shit.

Now i have to either buy a new one or hopefully blockbuster will replace it. Friggin 360, i don't have one scratch on any of my PS3 disks.

Sorry to hear that, especially as it's GTA 4. Damn 360! My brother's had this problem a couple of times with his 360. I hope you can get it replaced.
Blu-Rays are scratch-proof, that's why your PS3 games aren't scratched. Oh, and because the PS3 isn't a poorly designed piece of crap.

^^

thanks man, i hope they replace it!

lol PS3 sure isn't a poorly designed piece of crap!!

The cell has a special function that allows it to keep Blu-Rays intact , scratches disolve on the surfface of the disc.

^^

Well,if this gives you some consolation, you're not alone in this,a friend's 360 scratch his Dead Rising disk, and another one his Halo 3,the sad thing is all of us live in Mexico and the warranty is a shit in my country,so they had to bought another copies.

That's and RROD are two of the main reasons why I'm very happy with my PS3 and don't buy a 360,even if some of its games are worth buying.

Well that's certainly annoying.

A friend of mine had his Gears Of War CD scratched to pieces, I think he might have tried to move his 360 while he was playing it though.

Blu-ray is really that resilient! wow that's amazing i knew BR used a new type of ultra thin polymer but i did not know that, and if true i might actually consider a ps3, i may not ever scratch any of my discs but used games would be a much better bargain then.
