Here are the exact sales from this site week by week and the total for 2007 to date.

So given the last 2 weeks for the Wii (213,459 & 206,408) it will most likely pass 5 million when June 10th numbers are released.

One thing you have to keep in mind when ioi updates the weekly numbers the past numbers change also. So some of thes past numbers will get adjusted either up or down. That is why we have seen the 360's numbers drop many different times.

hmm..I just went through the data again and it is different from when I collected in on Thursday..so yeah now I arrive at cj's numbers.

If Wii sells say..420,000 over the next 14 days (2 weeks), then that is 30,000 per day, and Wii would hit 5 million sold in 2007 10.633 days after May 27...if we assume there can be no fractions of a day, then that would be on June 7, 2007 (see thread title...) even with the slight adjustment downward since I got the data.

Yeah, so Wii will hit 5 million in Vgcharts data for the week's data ending June 10, which will show up on the website June 12-June 14.

I still can see the 5 million crossover point before June 7, 2007.  I think in the USA there will be a boost for Memmorial Day and Mario Party 8 as Nintendo makes sure hardware is readily available, and in Japan for getting out of the typical mid May doldrums and Resident Evil 4. 

The changing data can be annoying since you have to recollect all of it again. I hope ioi will add some database download features in the future where you can just get the weekly sales data for a specific console or game in a specific timeframe and area. 

 I would like if ioi had some European sales charts.

Wii sales at 4,916,979 units for 2007 through June 3, 2007.  If Wii sells over 235k like it did for the week ending June 3, then Wii hit 5 million two days ago, June 5, 2007, in real time.

Wii is officially past 5.0 million sold in 2007 through June 10, 2007 (even before the weekly Japan update).
