I bet it goes to the Wii. The kid market was flush last gen in teh PS2 camp. This time around they are all buying the Wii because that's what their parents want them to have (That and it's less expensive).

PS3 is possible but not likely because it's userbase in the key markets for that game (Japan and NA) wouldn't support the sales needed to recoup dev costs if made for PS3. It definately won't make it to 360 (Japan just doesn't have the numbers)

........just no. The "kid market" may have been flush with the PS2, but the "kid market" didn't buy KH. Nostalgic people that wanted to mix what was apart of their childhoods with what they're playing now (Final Fantasies) bought this game. Do you really think kids put forth 50+ hours to have intense action, great character development, and understood how a complex plot unfolds? I'm getting sick of people saying that KH is a "kid's game" just because Mickey Mouse in it. If you didn't realize, Mickey Mouse is actually a lot more relevant to people who have more history with his entity (relative to how it was applied in this game), which aren't 5 year old kids. Couple that with the mix of FF characters, and KH is no way a "kid's game"

Secondly....it doesn't have the userbase to recoup costs. So I guess that when the 360 only had 5 million sales, the userbase was too small to recoup costs for Gears. Too small for Oblivion. And mid-last year, with only about 12 million, it was too small for Bioshock, too small for Halo 3, too small for Mass Effect. Why is it that only the PS3's userbase is always "too small" yet the Wii and 360 got big games when their respective userbases were smaller than what the PS3's is now, yet every game made exclusively was a smart decision, and could be made profitable? PLUS, think about it. By the time this game releases, won't the userbase likely be HIGHER than the 360's (which, according to the users ofthis site, is the userbase number that can turn profit, no matter what it is relative to the other consoles)

Are you serious. I was 9 when I got the game, and so were all of my friends. We all had it. We go it , because we seen it on disney channel and wanted a game with those characters. I also thought the final fantasy characters was a bonus, since I've been playing them since I was 5. So when you say kids never bought it, I say that's bullshit. I really doubt people bought the game just because there were final fantasy characters in it. It had nothing relating to final fantasy. Final fantasy was turnbased kh is real time. Final fantasy made you grind to get to higher lvls, KH doesn't so much. It is a totally different experience.

Oh btw they would lose alot less money, and make alot more if they put it on the wiil. And ultimately it's disney's decision.

Who said anything about playing the game all the way through?  You seem to think that people look at the title on the shelf and instantly know everything about it.   Of course there are kids out there who bought it and played it...yes because it has Mickey Mouse in it.  Even then, kids have the most free time of anyone so yeah I could easily see them putting a ton of time into the game.  But for the sake of your argument maybe they didn't put 50+ hours in but then how the hell would they have known they needed to at the start?  This is just horribly flawed logic.  Quite honestly we have no numbers to determine which group is larger but if you consider the typical "har har Wii is for kiddies" attitude of your average PS3/360 gamer I don't think its likely for the nostalgia group to be very large at all.

Secondly....it doesn't have the userbase to recoup costs. So I guess that when the 360 only had 5 million sales, the userbase was too small to recoup costs for Gears. Too small for Oblivion. I don't think anyone is claiming that the game would lose money on the PS3..perhaps I missed it though so you may have to cite that.  The argument I have made and others have made is that there is significantly more money to be made on the Wii due to lower development costs and much larger raw sales. So really this entire paragraph is more or less a straw man argument unless I just missed someone saying something this silly...in which case they were wrong.

Except the game isn't targeted at 5 year olds. It's targeted at 9-14 year olds who are capably able to understand the story >_>

Hell I bet a 5 year old could understand the story. I understood FFIV's story at 5.

"PS2 with DQVIII, FFX - XII, and KH 1 and 2 say hello."

Yes, that´s right, but there was no enemy console who could stop the PS2. The PS2 had the biggest hardware shipment.
This generation the Wii has the biggest hardware shipment, but many of this owner have the wii only to play Wii Sports or/and Wii Play.
We now that Final Fantasy XIII will come on PS3. The Dragon Quest Franchise is now on DS and only the Wii has no big franchise of SE.
Maybe this E3 SE will be announce Kingdom Hearts 3 for one, maybe two consoles (as Spin-Offs).
By the way: Even the DS and PSP will get a KH Spin-Off. Maybe the PS3 and Wii will get a full KH.
Time will tell.

After dragon quest goes to ds, I'm pretty sure X will go to the wii. The ds would be long discontinued by the time X comes , and the wii will have the most sales in consoles and handhelds.

From a business standpoint, it would be pretty....dumb of Square-Enix not to make this a Wii or DS exclusive.

However, with all the "behind the scenes" wrangling, maybe Sony will end up with this title. It'll cost them though. Wouldn't hurt Nintendo either, the Wii's keep on selling.

...but if this game was a Wii exclusive, there would be no more "faint glimmer of hope" that the PS3 could still beat the Wii this gen. PS2 owners would upgrade to a Wii. Denial would change to anger, and the internet would be aflame with Wii and KH hate.

So, in other words, if Wii gets KH3 as an exclusive, it will be a magnificant smite to all Wii haters and Sony fanboys. It wouldn't sway the console war as much hardware wise, but it certainly would change opinions of the Wii as a console and cement it as the winner in most peoples eyes.

If PS3 gets KH3 as an exclusive it's not that big of a deal outside of the forums here.

Lets hope the Wii gets KH3 exclusivity, so once again, fanboys can be owned, and we can laugh and laugh.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.
