During the month halo 3 was released the 360 outsold the wii. Not by much but to say halo3 didn't move a massive amounts of hardware at the time is a simple fallacy. Not bad for 1 game on a console that it had been clear was going to lose to the wii for the vast majority of the year.

GTA has boosted both the 360 and the ps3, but since its multi-platform is spread between the two. Sales are still up a lot, especially software sales. Look at how many games go a huge boost in sales during the week GTA launched.

Just because the wii is beating the competition pretty easily doesn't discount the increased sales caused by big games on the other platforms. An increase is an increase even though it hasn't put them ahead.

I think the opposite. I think Sony has more chances of winning NA than Japan. Japan has always be a single console country.

FF13,GT5,MGS4,FFV13,WKC,NUNS,DBZBL,TOV(timed 360 exclusive),ES,LR,say otherwise.Japanese multiplatform games will also benefit more PS3 sales in Japan than 360 sales so PS3 is not entirely dead yet in Japan and definitely has a chance of surpassing the wii.

Gran Turismo 3 - 1,06 mln. in 3 weeks with around 4 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Gran Turismo 4 - 1,16 mln. with 18 mln. PS2 on the launch.

Final Fantasy X - around 2 mln. with 5 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Final Fantasy X-2 - 2.4 mln. with 12 mln. PS2 on the launch.

1.8 mln. PS3 today(2008.01.17) in Japan. Now(2009.04.30) 3.16 mln. PS3 were sold in Japan.

Crazzy, this is a better graph even if the GC sales are missing it shows nicely how SMG is selling as well as NSMB world wide.

Do you mean unchanged to mean that the ps3 and 360 did not outsell the wii?
A lot is going to change in the next few weeks, but the Wii will always be ahead.
