Forums - Sales - After GTA, PS3 and 360 unchanged. Nintendo has this in the bag.

It's certainly not unchanged, but I too wish sony fanboys would move on, and stop denying that the PS3 still has a good chance of winning this console cycle. I don't think it does. I think it has a better chance of winning in Japan than winning worldwide if that is any indication of the chance I give the PS3 of beating the Wii.

I think the opposite. I think Sony has more chances of winning NA than Japan. Japan has always be a single console country.

How many cups of darkness have I drank over the years? Even I don't know...

More like 2 years. It was over at E3 2006.

"[Our former customers] are unable to find software which they WANT to play."
"The way to solve this problem lies in how to communicate what kind of games [they CAN play]."

Satoru Iwata, Nintendo President. Only slightly paraphrased.

No change... lulz.

Look at the weekly sales then come back.

Despite all the criticism in this thread, I think he raises a valid point and has every right to emphasise it. Although the more sensible amongst us have realised that the Wii will dominate hardware this generation for some time now, threads and posts suggesting the contrary are fairly regular both on this site and on the internet in general. The anti Wii press a couple of weeks back is a perfect example. Likewise, you don't have to look hard to find similar threads claiming "the end of the Wii" as a result of GTA4. Such opinions are becoming less common however, as people slowly come to the realisation that this is not the case. They still exist to the annoyance of Wii supporters however.

Wii had Mario Kart to duke it out against GTA.

We have to see the fallout of GTA week to see where sales are headed. As for Nintendo having this "generation" in the bag. If they release some heat post-E3, you can call this a Done Doobie.

Leatherhat on July 6th, 2012 3pm. Vita sales:"3 mil for COD 2 mil for AC. Maybe more. "  thehusbo on July 6th, 2012 5pm. Vita sales:"5 mil for COD 2.2 mil for AC."

Step 1: GTA IV is released
Step 2: PS360 weekly sales double worldwide
Step 3: Mrmoney claims GTA didn't change anything

If you simply meant that despite GTA, Wii continues to lead the generation, then of course you are correct and only the most fanatical would have suggested that GTA could literally have turned this generation around in some fashion.

Congratulations, you have defeated Leo-J in an argument.

I think we have different definitions of "unchanged"

wow what a bold prediction...a little late...

the 360 is amost out of tricks, but don't count out the PS3 yet.
