The main reason MK on the 64 was so good, was that there was (generally) so few good games for the system. MK64 ran fast, and was a blast multiplayer.

Wii MK puts it to shame - and easily - in my opinion. The MK64, add more players, more objects, more tracks, much nicer graphics, more control options, bikes, tricks - and THEN add online, including comps, online ghost races...

There is no comparison.

I also recommend Excitetruck, Strikers, WiiFit, RE4, Mario & Sonic, Mario Party, ...

Are you looking for a "social" gaming machine, or one that excels in single player (and online) shooters & racers?

Yeah, you should definitely keep it. Mario Kart is something that kids will enjoy (or everyone else for that matter) and this is definitely the best MK yet. Have you tried SSBB? That's also a lot of fun and something you can do as a family.

MK is prob worth it - Keep ur Wii def tho

By all means, Mario kart wii sold 594,000 copies on it's debut week in Japan alone. you see mariokart is all about the multiplayer, it is more a social event than a mindless source of escapism.

Well, from my point of view it's obvious. No reason to sell your wii, especially with a family loving it.

Mario Kart Wii is really a great and addictive game. My personal opinion is that it surpasses all its console incarnations and it's only just a little lower to where Mario Kart Ds is. But ...... as mentioned from so many people now, the Mkwii online aspect is EXTREMELY good. Please, do try it.

I just finished the game yesterday. (unlocked everything, played since release)

Now that part of the game is done I have moved to online, and I must say THAT makes the game. I see great replay value.

I can easily go back to it when I am waiting for another game to come out.

MKWii is good. Seriously. Just give it a try and you'll be hooked.

You got the usual things as GP's and Multiplayer. But also online racing and Time Trials online. These 2 I like the most. If you can go online, I would really recommend the game to you.
