God, I will go on an outrage if they turn Zelda into FPS. It seems like Miyamoto had some really horrible ideas there...

"Miyamoto also touches upon the development of the Wii Zapper in the interview and why he chose a Zelda spin-off to launch the peripheral.

After vetoing Mario and
Animal Crossing as potential candidates, Miyamoto said: "We figured that Link was the logical choice."

Logical choice my ass, I'd much rather have the opportunity to shoot Mr. Resetti and Lyle than Zelda enemies. Teach that damn weasel to pester me every Saturday. Then you could have had DS connectivity as a bonus. Upload your town's residents from Wild World, and shoot them all in the face with a slingshot or what not. =P

 Hell to the yeah.

But that's the master sword- the bane of evil, it's not flimsy at all ... it the master sword... that's sad =(

Like kicking a puppy sad.

I'm Unamerica and you can too.

you should've probably read the whole article first before making this thread. after reading it, you should have realized that he thought about making a FPS zelda. thank goodness that never came to fruition. otherwise, we'd be playing an oblivion type of game consisting of zelda characters (not saying that oblivion is bad; it isnt).

People these days just don't have capacity to read a text.
People need to read the original text, they don't want to make an FPS Zelda.
The link provided is S*, the original is far different.

Honestly if the next zelda is the same gameplay idea behind the last 4 games...I think most people will wish it were a FPS. Howmany caves are there left to explore?

He doesn't actually want to make a game like that, it was just an idea that came up during initial development of OOT. :s That article says absolutely nothing about a future Zelda game at all.

I agree. I am getting sick of the fact that publishers are flooding the market with Zelda-ish games. Instead something that isn't common these days, like a FPS, would be nice to see.

Well said RolStoppable.

Hopefully there are more caves than Nazis, aliens, and robots, 'cuz those guys freak me out and make me ya know... want to hop out of my Bentley and hide in a cave.

You might consider that not everyone aches for FPS. To me that's about the most boring genre out there. But I do love Zelda. You might not understand that, but whatever...
