 Kid Icarus is almost confirmed and still a rumor. They aren't mutually exclusive - infact, the 'almost' means that they necessarily come together.  The news we have from F5 is that they are working on a Wii Game.  Nintendo would make this a secret becuse they had a lot of games coming out the first half of this year, and prefered to promote those.

The art looks horrible, bring on the Pitt from Smash Bros please. Much more appealing to the "everyperson" then this abomination.

I actually like one of the concepts. I really hope they don't use SSBB Pit because SSBB is not canon and should not be dictating the games it's based on.

Okay, after reading people's comments, I just had to stop studying and write down my opinion...(that takes a lot of irritation to stop me from my studying).

After looking at the concept arts, and reading people's comments about how they want the SSBB version, I just had to say.....what is wrong with you?!?

Yes, Nintendo's version of Pit looks great in SSBB, that I agree with. But the idea of taking the Bible's story of the fallen angel of Satan, creating a cursed angel and placing that backdrop for this "grown up" version of Pit, is just a great idea. Shouldn't be the final version (needs to add more) but it is a good start.

What you all are suggesting is like saying "Yeah, the adult version of Link is totally against what the early Legend of Zelda games are so I would totally hate Nintendo to change that. Let us all keep the kiddy version of Link because that looks better." I don't know about you, but after everybody had a nerdrage when they first saw Link in Wind Waker after being promised of an adult version of Link in the trailers, it seems clear that almost everybody prefers an adult version of Link than the kid version. And now that it looks like they are going to go the same route with Pit, you want to go against that?!?

I say lets see what Factor 5 comes up with first. If it could be like Ocarina of Time, in the sense that we first have a kid version of the character and then play with the adult version as well and have a darker tone, I ask you all why not? Remember, these are all concept art...not in game. For all we know it could be a lot better. And this is Nintendo's property. They are known to be near perfectionists and will do their best to make the game look good.

Except that the grown up Link isn't so far removed from the younger Link.  It's Link, just a bit taller and more developed.  Based on the SSBB Pit, that isn't Pit so much as He-Man with wings.  It's not that a more adult Pit isn't welcomed rather that the concept art doesn't reflect the image of Pit most of us have.
