I would count yellow version as the same game as the originals, the only difference was that you started with pikachu and you could get charmander bulbasaur and squirtle throught the game, and you had the ability to teach pikachu surf... its the same storyline, the same encounters the same graphics (except for pikachu) I mean its in essence the same game. (I played them read and yellow to completion) just to trade with myself :P)

as for crystal or emerald I didnt get to play them

to put it in perspective
Pokemon yellow is more alike red green blue versions, then mario 64 ds is to mario 64, or the other gba releases of super mario...

Boy, it's been awhile but I know that Tetris was bundled with the GB for a long time beginning with the GB launch. I think it was later supplanted by Super Mario Land when it released.

Can anyone confirm this?

according to the GB chronicles in SSBB both are released the same date.

Were is StarCraft?? It sold over 10 million copies!! my starcraft box says so!

Wow, you look at that list and you realize just how impressive GTA and Sims sales really are... Every other game all the way down to 20 either received a boost from bundle sales or multiple versions counted in the same total (Nintendogs, Pokemon).

How much do you think the multiple versions helped?  I mean, how many people bought more than one version?  I think bundles are much more of a force in determining sales.  Like everyone says, they are the same game.  Most people I remember actually used the link cable, from my personal experience.

I would say that the PS2/GC The Sims games are not a port of TS1, they are rather totally different games, nothing like TS1.

Top 3 favorite games: Super Mario Galaxy, The Sims 2 (PC), The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker

The sales for WoW seem extremely low to me. They have 10 million active subscribers. There is also a sizeable turn-over rate with those games causing total sales to be greater than total active subscribers by a fair bit. I think the data point is either old or mis-informed.

Mario 64 DS was a very different game compared to Mario 64. I would say includign the two together is about as valid as counting Yellow and Red/Green/Blue Pokemon together. The character changing mechanis were entirely unheard of, the cap system was completely changed, a multiplayer aspect was tacked on, and there was a lot of new levels added. The game was closer to a remake than a port,

Starcraft 2 ID: Gnizmo 229

I know that about mario 64, still I think its the same game, as far as i remember they didnt add any new levels but they added new stars in each level.

As for pokemon yellow I think the changes are along the lines of super Mario world for the handhelds in which they changed luigi to jump higher and to be taller... its the same game...

Take 2 have SA down as having like 20m shipped, so it does make sense

EDIT: also, can you mark the ones that have been bundled in some way, though don't go as far as removing them
