Forums - Sales - Why the Xbox 360 will win - VG Chartz cited

Good to see Cnet using VG Chartz numbers but I can't say I agree with the conclusions he's drawn. He keeps saying the Wii's going to run out of steam but doesn't provide any evidence or justification for that idea.

Why the Xbox 360 will win the console war

I can't get the link to work, maybe it's me.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

Working fine for me on Firefox...

This dude has to be the biggest fanboy to be so blind to believe the 360 is going to win this generation. He totally neglected to speak of Europe or Japan, so I'm assuming he's focusing on America. He doesn't even seem to know that the Wii is poised to overtake the 360 in America very soon either. This article is just a damn shame.

Sorry about that. The search facility clearly needs improving then. I stuck the article's title in and it didn't bring it up.

Now I know what you're thinking -- "how?" The answer is actually quite simple: the Wii is not nearly as strong as some want to believe and Sony's strong growth is the result of a lower hardware price, which is allowing it to catch up to the pack.

XBOX will win because I want. Greatest argument ever

Sony has sold roughly 13 million Playstation 3 units worldwide, while Nintendo has sold 25 million Wiis and Microsoft has sold 19 million Xbox 360s. And while Sony won't cite those figures, it chooses instead to mention "velocity" -- the rate at which its sales are increasing.

and nothing about being released one year later (one and a half in europe)

Can´t get the link to work either >_>

Anyway...if by 'winning' he means hardware sales numbers, the guy is completely clueless..even if he´s focusing on North America, the Wii will soon overtake the 360....and in Europe, so will the PS3...and in Japan, both Wii and PS3 have already left the 360 in the dust.

Now, as far as the 360 is concerned, its 'prize' is that it´s finally making profits for MS, and it has strenghtened the XBOX brand.

Wii running out of steam?!? sales figures show otherwise.

360 and ps3 are actually up on last year's figures, so they are gaining support, along with Wii which has been a runaway success and continues to sell well. ATM all of the consoles are doing pretty well all things aside.

sadly I don't think the author of the article thought about this enough.

Hey, remove the link. Don't give this moon hits to his blog page. It will only make him write more ignorant drivel.
