I'm a little disappointed that only 60 people on this site own this game...

It's not really neccissary.

I mean i got through most of the game without using skirmishes much at all and with using each character in my team once per turn.

I gotta get back to finishing this game.  Got sidetracked with another project though.

What's taking your time? Still doing Bladestorm?

@ Okey

Chapter 7 is hard. The key it to use the Batomys to shield you from Selvaria attacks. And it isn't important to take out all of them. Just two or three.

No, i'm holding off on that till later.  Making wrestlers in "Fire Pro Wrestling".  I used to be a big wrestling fan when i was a kid, and the game basically lets you make any wrestler you want with tons of moves and the like... and room for like 500+ wrestlers aside from the 200+ already in the game. (Though they are mostly japanese wreslters.)

You can adjust Ai and stuff so they wrestle just how they did back in the day.

I have way too much fun making all the characters i remember and watching them wrestle each other.

I must of put hundreds of hours into that game and i don't even know how to play it.

My guess would've been Eternal Poison. Just got to Chapter 14.

I got to the point where I can start diversifying the weapons. Any suggestions on what I should focus on?

Accuracy
Damage
Effects

Recommendations for the different types of weapons?

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

I went with damage for rifles, machine guns and lances, while going accuracy for the sniper rifles. I never got into a situation where a status gun would be particularly useful, as my goal is always to kill the enemy, and this can usually be achieved in one or two attacks.

I always went for accuracy and range.

The Empire temselves seem to have lower range then you, so by maximizing range you can stay out of their range, pelt them, then hit them when they rush into your range to try and attack you.

The Shocktrooper effects can be kinda useful, but in the end why lower their counterattack when you can just take them out.

I'm having a little trouble at the princess kidnapping level. Any advice? It sucks that the armored car turret can shoot through the back of the car. lol

Just make sure the tank makes it there first.  And have shocktroopers 2 or 3 of them move up and be in position.

Like if you place them right of where you expect the car to travel the first time it goes south.... you can take it out in like... one turn since they can take the machine gun hits to get in position.

Actually you could probably do it with 1 or 2 shocktroopers only.

Of course that won't lead to the "Kill them all" type scores.

Damage for rifle, as it gives you 2 extra bullets (7) for your scouts and engineer. This makes it pretty much better than any 'extra' weapon you find in the game imo.

Sniper rifile accuracy since its pointless to have a more powerful 1 hit kill gun.

Lancer get power, motor is totally useless as there any plenty of unit killer in the game

Flamethrower (once you get it) get the damage, the lower HP thing is only useful if they actually stay alive for longer than 1 turn which is pretty much never when face with an assault trooper

the machine gun is a tossup between firepower and extra bullet, I personally went for the firepower.

another tip is that this is one instane where I found equipping an enemy machine gun worked very well.  You'll run up to it anyway so the range is inconsequential, and the extra damage really helps you take it out quickly.
