I wouldn't expect them to have voice acting in languages other than English and Japanese, but it wouldn't cost much to have subtitles. This game deserves it a lot more than their crappy Sonic game, and it's not even necessary in a fighter like Virtua Fighter, whereas you'll miss out on a lot if you don't understand the language in a game like Valkyria. This is why I've waited for the Western release instead of getting the Japanese version six months ago.

I'm not glad. What's the point of even releasing it earlier in Europe, as less people will buy it, because most people won't understand the language?
All this will do is make SRPG even more niche than they are in Europe. This is the same stupidity we had a decade ago. SRPG are nearly extinct in Europe now.
I won't support nonsense like that anyway, I'm patiently waiting for the USA release. There's no point in paying 20-30 € more for sth that isn't even better.
Europe isn't even getting a special edition of the game. It's a shame...

can anyone tell me how many hours of gameplay this has? also if there are variable difficulty levels, for replayability? For srpgs I like playing through on harder difficulty settings when I complete the game.

Also please please tell me this has japanese voice acting as an option as it ALWAYS sounds better then english voice overs

The game is said to be 60 hours. You can unlock a hard difficulty once you beat the game or it's already there to begin with, idk, and it does include japanese voice overs.

Ehh... hope it's nowhere near that bad.  Or at least if it is... the story is good.

Seems like a lot of the cutscenes are outright optional though.

Translating games only makes the localisation proces more expensive, which makes turning a profit less likely. Importing your games is what's damaging the already niche RPG market in Europe.

1up offered a fanboy review for resistance 2. in fact they think its equal to mercenaries 2 which is madness.

on topic i have valkyria and its one of the best games ive played so far grafx and sound are utterly awsome, its an rpg but unlike any other rpg you have played
