Not to mention the fact that Sony mistakenly reported it as a psp game.

I could've sworn I posted here last night... >_>
Anywho, a bunch of us have made it our mission to spam the comments section of the PlayStation Blog letting Sony know just how much more JRPGs are needed on the ps3. Seeing how the PlayStation Blog has been very useful in getting Sony moving on other things (in-game XMB, etc.), we figured this might let them know just how much these things are needed.
I ask that anybody who reads this join in. It can't do anything but help. :)

Well that and it's an incredibly niche game. I'd be surprised if it got any advertising. |
It has a chance to be more popular considering it's the first "good" JRPG hitting the console.
I'm hoping for a ToS effect.
@Memory2zack
Atleast it was some good publicity. ^_^

Interesting.
Can you give some examples on what you guys post?
Also, do you have to register to leave a comment on the blog?

You forget Disgaea 3?
But you're right, I think this has a greater chance of success. I doubt many will be buying Disgaea 3 that haven't at least played one of the others. This, on the other hand, is something fresh with its artstyle and mixture of gameplay.
I must agree with Kasz's post from several months ago, this certainly has potential to be my favourite game of this generation.

I consider that a poster game for "niche" games.
And considering it's quality, visual wise, I don't think it's capable of doing a ToS.
But yeah, I should have chosen my words more carefully.
Though I think thay will do about the same hardware wise.
That's considering S3's cult folowwing.

Yeah, you have to register. It's real easy, though.
Here are some examples of what we've posted:
(mine's the first, and easily the longest of the bunch)
This game looks awesome. And from what I hear it’s being made by the Skies of Arcadia team! Day one purchase, no doubt.
Jeff, mind letting your higher ups know that one of the things that made PlayStation consoles so great were the dozens of RPGs (of all flavors) that you could buy for the platform? We need more games like this!
We understand that MS was whooping your asses in the shooter genre a few years ago, but I fear you may have over compensated, and now you’re alienating the more Japanese-centric gamers by announcing shooter after shooter after shooter. I will be buying both Resistance 2 and Killzone 2 (MAG at this point looks meh), but in the end Team ICO’s next title is my most anticipated 1st party release, with White Knight Chronicles up there as well (though I suppose that would be considered third party).
Of my friends, many are disappointed that they bought ps3s because they assumed it would have plenty of RGPs, and other Japanese-y games, but now they’re not showing up. Many of my friends who have yet to purchase a console are now leaning towards the 360 with the FFXIII announcement.
At least get SO4 multiplat, or buy some RPG studios like you bought Guerrilla and Zipper. Your first party kicks ass (<3 Team ICO, Naughty Dog, and Sony Santa Monica) in just about every area but the RPG genre!
Though I may have embellished on that third paragraph a bit. >_>
Oh, and Onna posted quite a few times there as well. Purely coincidental, of course. :P
Oh man this is so badass! this game, along with MGS4 will be my first games when I get a console (this winter, I'll take a trip to the UK and buy one there, PS3's cost 1250$ here, and no, I'm not kidding).
Best SRPG since Front Mission 3? I think so.

Yeah. I'd say there is about a 70% chance of it being my favorite. It's exactly the kind of game i wanted made ever since i played "Future tactics".
70% This
20% Spore
2% Borderlands
2% Left 4 Dead
6% The field.
Anyone else play Future Tactics by the way? It's a decent game... for the 5 dollars it retails for right now... if just to see the one game that did the Valkrie Chronicles style gameplay first.
