It never ceases to amaze me how Sony and MS fanboys need to rationalize the Wii's overwhelming victory with, "It's Kiddy crap so it doesn't matter, or its not HD so its not competing with the PS3 or 360." Once Capcom sees the Wii continued market saturation isn't just a fad, they'll probably decide the Wii is the best platform for RE5. But at this point no one really knows.

Sit down. VF4 wasn't as big as you are trying to imply at least not in Japan. BTW I'm not saying VF5 is a success. Resident Evil is a pretty big franchise too. Is it matter for new Wii users that RE4 was released few times? Even if all gamers who played this game before bought Wii... there are still 2 million left. Fact is this game isn't inferior to the averege Wii's title. Graphics doesn't look oldschool I would say it looks pretty good as for Wii standards right now. I think you need to see flop of exclusive RE to understand this isn't what Japanese gamers and Wii gamers in general want.

If this was RE:UC I would be disapointed, but it isn't. It is a port from GameCube with new controlls tackled on. If it can do 100k + in each region I think Capcom would be very happy.

Other than that I think this "RE5" will go to Wii is nonsense. So far the xbox360 crowd is buying tons of software I have a hard time to see RE5 bomb in USA. When RE5 gets xbox360 might have 8 million users in USA. So even if I am a N-fan I don't think all the games will go to Wii. All consols will get some really nice games and that is it.

Yeah because caring about the World Market would mean disproving all your dissallusions about Sony's triumphant success. You're just desperately trying to convince yourself there is still hope for the PS3, and attack anything positive about Nintendo's games or practices as an outlet for your frustration. You call the Wii kiddy crap that can't sell mature titles but the same was said of the DS less than three years ago. RE4 Wii hasn't even been released in the US yet and further more, its just a port, what do you want? Cry more why don't ya. I think Umbrella Chronicles will be a far more adequate measure. Face it, with the Wii gobbling up the market share developers can't afford not to develop on it. Fight it all you want but reality is going to win.
