Surprising lack of glam, punk and grunge in here. Those are three pretty major and defining periods of rock so I thought we would be seeing more Bowie, Clash, Sex Pistols and Nirvana than what has been posted.

A sampling of my favorite stuff that I've collected on my computer, some odd choices but I like to buy individual songs as opposed to entire albums:
1. Workshop of the Telescopes- Blue Öyster Cult
2. Ultimate Santana- Santana
3. I Feel Free- Ultimate Cream- Cream
4. Hot Rocks 1964-1971- The Rolling Stones
5. Off The Deep End- "Weird Al" Yankovic
I tend to prefer Greatest Hits albums because they're collections of the band's greatest music, without a lot of the filler/mediocre songs you find on normal albums. (though greatest hits too often ignore some gems).
Here's my top 5
A Night at the Opera - Queen
Humanity Hour I - Scorpions
Love at First Sting - Scorpions
Dark Side of the Moon - Pink Floyd
Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace - Foo Fighters
Anyone else think Queen deserves more recognition?

Queen was more known for their brilliant individual songs and for their absolutley amazing live performances than for the strength of their albums. Although 'A Night at the Opera' is a great album, I would say that their best is actually 'Greatest Hits', they are one of the few bands that I would say that a compilation is actually their best though.
So yeah, not surprised they aren't making many top 5's.

This list goes to eleven:
1. Radiohead - OK Computer
2. Neutral Milk Hotel - In the Aeroplane Over the Sea
3. Talking Heads - Remain in Light
4. Sonic Youth - Daydream Nation
5. Radiohead - The Bends
6. The Velvet Underground and Nico - The Velvet Underground and Nico
7. The Notorius B.I.G. - Ready to Die
8. Sufjan Stevens - Illinois
9. Jay-Z - The Blueprint
10. Gang of Four - Entertainment!
11. Outkast - Stankonia
My consoles and the fates they suffered:
Atari 7800 (Sold), Intellivision (Thrown out), Gameboy (Lost), Super Nintendo (Stolen), Super Nintendo (2nd copy) (Thrown out by mother), Nintendo 64 (Still own), Super Nintendo (3rd copy) (Still own), Wii (Sold)
A more detailed history appears on my profile.
1) Lykathea Aflame - Elvenefris
2) Negurã Bunget - Om
3) Nokturnal Mortum - Weltanschauung
4) Drudkh - Krov u nashykh Krynytsyakh
5) Behemoth - Demigod

Anyone that has seen Michael Live can attest to that. When Michael takes the stage all other performers look like garage bands. |
I've seen David Bowie live.
I've seen Kraftwerk live.
I've seen Devo live... twice.
I don't believe you.
Has no one ever heard of -
Damien Rice - O
Damien Rice - 9 Crimes
Teitur - Forgot name of album, but his first one
This is my signature.
