Forums - Nintendo - What would you want the next Zelda's setting and story line to be?

The gods of olympus send Kratos to kill the citizens of Hyrule...Kratos kidnaps Zelda and gives her to Zeus...Link has to kill Kratos and save Zelda...how you like that??

Call me lame but I'd like remakes of Zelda 1 and Zelda 2, with 3D graphics and better explanations of their place in the timeline.

@ Nintendo Togepi That is so detailed. I would love that game too. To bad nintendo doesn't have you making the story for the next zelda.

@ Sparda This isn't a joke thread and I don't know why you would post such bs.

Futuristic like Zanarkand in FFX

Many years after Ganon's death in Twilight Princess the Gerudos seek to revive him but need the Master Sword to do so. But they cannot use it because it would destroy them if they touched it so they make a magic clone of Link and use him to steal the master sword from the sacred grove. Ganon is then revived but after the Master Sword is fused with him it becomes the 'Dark Sword' (the Blade of Light's Bane), and with it's power Ganon takes control of Hyrule. Link dies in a great battle but he had a unborn son with Llia. She is forced to escape across the Hylian border into Termina (Majoras Mask), Ganon pursues Llia but a great wall of light appears around Termina and Ganon's armies cannot proceed...

Months later Llia dies in childbirth and her son is adopted by a couple who own a tavern, they call him Link. Many years later Link grows up unaware of his real family, his past and his destiny. Then one night a voice calls to Link, he follows it out of the town and into the forest where a spirit talks to him whose name is 'Queen Zelda'. She tells him about his past and how she was overthrown by Ganon and is hiding away in Hyrule. She also says that he must collect the five jewels of light to remove the great barrier dividing Hyrule and Termina.

After the barrier of light is removed evil forces overrun Termina and Link discovers that Ganon had tricked him into destroying the barrier and Link vows revenge. He crosses into Hyrule and finds Queen Zelda and a small resistance group hiding in secret. Zelda tells Link that he must gain the power of the Triforce and weild the Master Sword before he can defeat Ganon but must enter the Sacred Realm to obtain them both but the only entrance to it is in Hyrule Castle which is controlled by Ganon. Zelda suggests that they raise an army of all the creatures of Hyrule to retake the Castle and the town. So Link travels to all the corners of the land and amasses a great army of Gorons, Zoras, Dekus, humans and other creatures.

They march on Castle town and a great battle ensues of good vs evil. During the battle Link sneaks into the castle and being pure of heart is able to enter the realm of light. Link obtains the triforce of courage and the master sword but Ganon follows him and steals the triforce of power which he lost when he died. Ganon then goes on to take the triforces of wisdom and courage and then with no way of stopping him the three Great Goddess flood the land...

Link and members of the Royal Family flee to the mountains where they escape the flood but Zelda stays behind and uses her powers to save a small part of Hyrule from being destroyed but dies in the process... Using her last breath she freezes time in the small patch of land.

Ganon took refuge in the Realm Of Light where he waited for the day when he could return to the world above the waves...

Many years later... Legend Of Zelda the Windwaker happens... So what do you think?

How about a Zelda game where...

... our Hero link can not enter a temple until he presents the proper documentation, but in order to get said documentation he has to visit an office where he submits his paperwork and has to wait in line, fill out a form, wait for his number to be called, speak to a representative, submit another form, wait in another line for a different application, fill out the application, take a test, then wait 6-8 weeks for materials to arrive in mail. Maybe that annoying mail guy could deliver the documentation, but instead he could leave a sticker on Link's door citing something about delivery failure, and that he need to stop at the facility for pickup. Once Link arrives, the facility looks suspiciously like a temple where he fights through a maze and arrives at the package pickup window where the employee presents Link with a treasure chest only to contain a slingshot, the first of many many weapons....

... oh what an adventure in bureaucracy!

Zelda and link.....GO IN SPACE!!! It's genius!! hehe..

Hopefully one that would let you play as Zelda for a change...

The title should obviously be: Legend of Zelda: Super Link's Adventure in Super Space Galaxy

Predictions for December 31st 2008:
Wii 38,000,000
DS 84,500,000
PS3 17,000,000
PSP 41,000,000
X360 23,000,000

There are 5 continents, Hyrule being one of them, and the one from MM another one. Each country has a tale of a boy in green who has saved their country, and when a new hero in green comes (he has done something amazing in Hyrule early in the game), they all want him to be on their side. There has been peace for over 50 years between the countries, but it is egging up to a new war. A reason for this is poverty, and Princess Zelda was accused of being an evil sorceress who destroyed the crops of the other countries. Hyrule's king knows that Hyrule is still weak after losing the war 50 years ago (they were in the losing alliance), and sends Zelda away to prevent crisis from happening.

Because of Link's appearance, in Hyrule, Garashia (another country, silly name, I know) goes to war against Hyrule. As both the armies march towards Link's hometown, he is stuck with 3 options: 1. Join the Hyrulian army. 2. Join the Garashian army, or 3. Be an independant soldier.

Depending on your choice, there are now 3 storylines following up. If you choose to join the Hyrulian army, Hyrule will join up with 2 other nations (the MM one and Primpia) and defeat the last 2, making them parts of the winning countries. Princess Zelda becomes the queen of the new alliance between the 3 ending countries. Perhaps there can be a civil war later on.

If he joins Garashia, Primpia and Shrongli will join them, and Garashia will win the war. At the very end, you have the choice to either save Princess Zelda from being hanged as an evil sorceress (and leave in an attempt to live happily ever after, not sure if that will happen though) or let her die.

If you become an indepentdant soldier, Princess Zelda and the Sheikas will join you to form a small coutry inside Hyrule. You will mostly have to defend yourself, and keep your citizens from starving, as well as keeping Princess Zelda safe. Unfourtunately, she is doomed to die, as Hyrule declares war on the Sheika country, and after a long war, the Sheikas lose, and Princess Zelda dies. The rest of the tribe survives (most of it), and dissapears, but secretly attacks the other countries. As Hyrule is weakened, Garashia sees their change, and destroys Hyrule.

In the end, Primpia toghether with Shrongli becomes the last and final country left, after having defeated everyone else. The Sheikas are still alive (toghether with link), and attempt to kill the king. They manage to do it, but everyone but Link dies. He manages to get away and forms a new identity, but the game ends with a mail in Link's mailbox. It says: "due to the late death of our King, the next in the bloodline has been sent in as King. All Hail King Ganon!"

We never actually see Ganondorf though, this is all the mentinoning there ever is of him,
