Forums - Nintendo - my god Wii Fit is intense

I'm glad to hear WiiFit is like this. I prepaid for it at Gamestop in NA, and am really starting to get hyped. Do you feel there is potential for the board as gaming tool as well?

oh god yes - the board is ridiculously sensitive to the point where if you shift your weight from the inside to the outside of your foot the sensor will shoot off the scale, it can also measure the amount of pressure your placing on it, if your leaning forward or sidewards.

It's a diverse piece of kit that could be used either really well or will open the door for all kinds of new shovelware (many a true word...).

Who's your daddy now?

Wii Fit has got me doing Yoga and Muscle work - that in it's self is amazing.

It's also very fun and my whole family seem to be taking it to heart is wonderful :)

I am still doing 6 reps on most of the muscle work but my yoga seems to be improving fast 80+ % on tree - something I didn't expect, My balance has really improved.

The competition is pretty tough in my house (5 of my family using it + Friends) and I can't afford not to get high scores..

One thing that really surprised me was how my dad came home from work today, went to the living room, turned on the Wii and started to play the Football header game and didn't stop till he beat his personal best. He didn't stop playing Wii Fit till dinner time, he was Playing Basic Step when I called him down. - He didn't even do this for Wii Sports and normally hates computer games.

Wii Fit > Wii Sports ?

As for using it for gaming in future : 100% without a doubt, skiing, marble game, football...you can see how it can be used in full games.
Just like any new controller it takes time to perfect your skills so don't be down hearted if it's a little hard at first. After a while you start getting in the zone and one day you'll control it as if it's part of your body.

My Brother says I treat the balance test - "Hit the blue boxes" like it's Quake - I just GO FOR IT...

I'll be getting this when I get back from planting. Of course I'll also be in great shape after 2 months of planting, so this game will be more about keeping it up.

well i been doing it for 11 days now ( did not do it 3 times no time)
I start off with 30 minutes jogging
30 minutes free stepping
and if i got time advanced boxing 10 minutes or muscle training.

I feel much fitter and can do stuff much longer I also lost about 3 kilo's
So yeah if you do it active wiifit can work.

my only problem with wii fit is my appartement... not big enough to do the exerciese :/
So i basically stay with the ones you stand on the board (most of the games so it's the good part for me, makes me work out without complaining).

OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoO

Interesting, I thought it was going to be less on the exercise and more on fun mini-game type things.

You went away for 2 months to do planting? Don't get your dress caught in any prickles now.

I'm going, I'll loose a lot of weight, and It's not yet determined if I'll have to wear a dress (depends on what crew you're with)

Yeah, Wii Fit isn't urgent for me now that springtime is here. I tend to bike around 50+km per week, so that'll get me in good shape.

When the snow comes back, I'll be needing something to keep my inner couch potato at bay. Maybe Wii Fit will actually stay available on store shelves by that time, too. ;P
