Wii Fit has got me doing Yoga and Muscle work - that in it's self is amazing.
It's also very fun and my whole family seem to be taking it to heart is wonderful :)
I am still doing 6 reps on most of the muscle work but my yoga seems to be improving fast 80+ % on tree - something I didn't expect, My balance has really improved.
The competition is pretty tough in my house (5 of my family using it + Friends) and I can't afford not to get high scores..
One thing that really surprised me was how my dad came home from work today, went to the living room, turned on the Wii and started to play the Football header game and didn't stop till he beat his personal best. He didn't stop playing Wii Fit till dinner time, he was Playing Basic Step when I called him down. - He didn't even do this for Wii Sports and normally hates computer games.
Wii Fit > Wii Sports ?
As for using it for gaming in future : 100% without a doubt, skiing, marble game, football...you can see how it can be used in full games.
Just like any new controller it takes time to perfect your skills so don't be down hearted if it's a little hard at first. After a while you start getting in the zone and one day you'll control it as if it's part of your body.
My Brother says I treat the balance test - "Hit the blue boxes" like it's Quake - I just GO FOR IT...
