Also means Sony has more money to spend elsewhere.

Like 2 more years of over-developing Killzone 2...

Sony has their monetary priorities very wrong in this generation.

How many times did Metroid Prime 3 get delayed?

How many times has Too Human been delayed?

Why do you troll every thread that isn't positive for Nintendo?

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

Sorry if I think that downplaying a racing game on a console which is doing well in Europe (racer-land as evidenced by the success of GT5P) is a stupid move.

Regarding delays, it's not just about delays. When you start getting into Duke Nukem Forever territory, things start getting silly and too expensive. Look at Insomniac and how fast they can make great PS3 games.

No way on Earth Ninty would license this. When is the last time they licensed *anything* external, then spend their scarce resources making a game for it?

The profit just isn't there anymore for Sony in F1. Maybe MS should grab it!

@shams, I don't think anyone wants Nintendo to exclusively license the F1 franchise. I personally just want at least 1 third party to bring an F1 game to a Nintendo system.

I wouldn't even care if 2-3 third party publishers licensed out F1 and made multiple games for all 3 platforms.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

F1 was not very popular, they should concentrate on getting Sony studios Liverpool working on WipEout PS3, and then have WipEout and Motorstorm as the PS3 racing franchises, both are popular games

Never really a system seller anyway ( except to a tiny extent in europe ) Also the games were frightfully dull

Hi, i'm solojohlo and i'm pretty fucking awesome

Won't cry a tear about it. Good riddance.

"Formula 1 isn’t exactly as popular as Nascar or Indy cars"
Hahahaha! This was funny. Nobody outside USA cares about Nascar. F1 is the highest class of open wheeled auto racing in the world. Good F1 game will have good sells in Europe.

Considering what the article said about popularity, the author doesn't have clue about it. F1 is the most popular car sports in the world.

I wouldn't mind a good F1 game. I have to say that EA has done a decent job with F1 licence, but nothing that would beat F1 world GP on N64 (let's hope i remembered the name correctly, i don't mean the horrible Ubisoft game).
Apparently F1 licence is a little too expensive for Sony at the moment, and i assume that the licence is (one of) the most expensive.

@Twroo: Indycar is the one where they drive the formula-type cars in the oval, with nothing but left turns. And Nascar is where they drive stock cars in the oval and try to crash each other into the wall (kinda like Michael Schumacher used to drive).

Ei Kiinasti.

Vaan pannaan jalalla koreasti.

Nintendo games sell only on Nintendo system.

F1 is an enjoyable sport to watch and follow.

but the F1 themed games are usually all dribble

i would rather put my money someplace else and not F1, its to much of a minority market to get a big hit out of it.

american sports and football is where the big hitters are.
