Yup, that's about how it goes except Thursdays in which we do the same thing but without pants. |

What? We're supposed wear pants the rest of the week? Oops.

And it's doughnut night too!
Anywho, I haven't been doing that much so I'm not even worried. I think some of my mod friends are being a bit too rash, but remember, sometimes we have to protect the members from their own foolishness. A trolling thread title is bound to cause a problem no matter what the content.
On a serious note, moderating has to adjust with the condition of the forums. If the forums are getting out of control, and intelligent discussion is being squashed under fanboyism and arugments, we have to do what we can to restore it to order. Even if that means locking more threads than usual, warning/banning people more often, etc.

Very true. Many of you were irritated with the mass lockings of GTA threads last week but you have to understand that it was in the best interest of the board. People were getting irritated and distinct troll lines were forming in almost every one of those threads by Thursday. Some people were sick of hearing about the game, others were sick of seeing it bashed.
Something had to be done and with 20 simultaneous threads running on the same subject, the easiest thing to do was start thread-locking to narrow what we had to focus on at once.

Being well known, being there at the right time, recommendation by others.
I mean, look at me. By modern Vgchartz standards, I was the least likely person on the site to become a mod. And look at me now, I'm a mod.
I have seen plenty of trolls getting left alone and once or twice mods agreeing with them. Lets be honest although i agree leo brought a lot of it on himself i could here the running feet of those desperate to wind him up every time he posted.
I do think the mods do a good job and this is a great site i do not have to agree with everything the mods decide or others think. As I previously stated I tried to find out why leo-j was perma banned and the best i could come up with is his gta iv will kill the wii statement. I say again a perma ban for one so young is harsh. Does not take into account growing up, becoming more mature or mellowing out in the future.
