Forums - Sales - What is up with Chart-Track?

wii play up 6 places despite 2 versions of gta coming to the chart this week should mean that Wii sales are up. Sega tennis went way down this week. Not much can be made of the top 5 on this chart unfortunately because we have no numbers.

currently playing: Skyward Sword, Mario Sunshine, Xenoblade Chronicles X

calm down carlos, this is uk only charts, you know, where the 360 is double the ps3 installed base? what were you expecting? anyway, full PAL numbers should paint a totally different picture.

Wii Play moving swiftly up the charts is a very positive sign for good Wii hardware numbers.

RRR2 seems to have moved swiftly up the charts which may indicate it being bundled at some places, it's even moved above Wii Pro evo which has been showing legs recently.

That would give it 5.9 million opening week across all platforms and territories.

What about Japan? So it will probably finish on 6 million GTA IV sales for the first week.

It won't be out in Japan until later this year

Speaking about the "big picture" I'd spend 2 or 3 words on the fact that if these figures are confirmed about 80% of GTAIV sales came from US+UK...not so good for PS3 in the long term: the 2 biggest markets for this game are actually the 2 biggest markets for x360 too (it's like 13,7M vs 6M userbase where 80% of sales came from in the 1st week).

2008 year end sales (made in January 2008):

44.2 M 27.1 M 20.8 M
