Didn't read anything, but feel compelled to point out one thing.

Can people please stop saying that MK Wii almost outsold GTA IV PS3.

Why not compare MK Wii to GTA IV on a system with a comparable install base *cough* XBOX 360 *cough*.

Now how close was MK Wii to GTA IV 360...? that's what I thought.

I don't think (most) people are doing that because it is meaningful nearly as much as they're doing it to annoy PS3 fans who said the PS3 version of GTA would outsell the XBox 360 version, and the PS3 would be the best selling hardware this week.

The only people that can destroy the Wii is Nintendo themselves.

I get that, but making arguments of MK Wii being close to PS3 GTA IV sales, is like saying a Ferrari is faster than a compact car.  It's an obvious statement, and makes no sense.

In my VERY humble opinion, no one who would consider buying GTAIV would not do it because of MKWii. I'm not trying to take away from MK's success, but the games target pretty much polar opposite markets, so the success or failure of one will have little or no effect on the other

Actually, I think that's incorrect. I'm fairly sure many multiconsole owners bought both games, or will buy both games.

I bought MK:Wii and GTAIV, for example. I bought MK first, and the scrounged enough up for GTAIV a few days later.

So, I know at least one person is a fan of both of those games.

In fact, I would venture far enough to say anyone that considers themselves a hardcore gamer should be at least interested in the prospect of playing both of those games to at least check them out. 

It's upsetting when the Playstation generation doesnt' even view MK:Wii as a worthy competitor for the consumers videogame dollar.

I'm not sure the Wii doesn't have a larger "hardcore" fanbase than the PS3, for that matter. 50 percent or so, I'd wager. 

Who said that GTA IV would affect the Wii? They're in two different markets.

Gamers in general don't take the Wii seriously and the average Wii owner couldn't care less about GTA IV.
