Forums - Gaming - Why do your prefer console or computer gaming to the other?

i like my console for the fact that i can have multiplayer split screen so all my friends can play and jus chill while playing halo 3 on 62'' HDTV. BOO YAHH and we can rip on each other when one of us gets t-bagged or go online while we play capture the flag

Off Topic- Man i wish GTA had split screen

Console gaming, by a mile.

I've never much cared for PC gaming, and there isn't one advantage that PC gaming has that suits me....I don't like using a mouse and keyboard to play a game, I like a large screen to play on and like to sit on a couch playing(I realize these can be remedied), PCs often have things going wrong or have things needing to updated, tweaked, etc., and generally speaking, PC games don't have the colorful personality than many console games do. One thing I will give PC gaming is that it's really the only place for full-on MMORPG's. That being said, there were only handful of MMORPG's that interested me and I'm over them now.

Consoles give me almost all of the things I seek in games, mostly importantly games built to be played on gamepads, not mouse and keyboards.

i prefer console gaming because i never have a good enough computer.
plus i was brought up with consoles and although i play some games on the pc, games like bioshock and mass effect which are on the 360 too, i'm going to play them on the 360 because it's simply easier, more comfortable and i just want to!

PC gaming.  I have an absolutely obscene PC game collection.

The Wii is slowly edging out my PC for gaming time percent these days, but I still prefer my PC.  Speaking of which, it's time for an upgrade...

Console gaming as I generally prefer the genre that work out better on consoles, plus I rarely upgrade my computer, my primary desk top computer is an 700mhz Athlon, yeah it's about 9 years old, but it still can be used for everything but playing games, my laptop is a 2 year old bottom of the barrel acer which struggles to run half-life, so until that ancient athlon breaks I won't be that big on pc gaming

For the most part, I agree with you, Twesterm. Overall, I prefer my console for the same reasons. And in the time a console lasts, I go through almost two PCs to keep up with new games. If cost made me have to choose one over the other, it'd completely be console.

Though it depends on the game too. I definitely prefer console for FPS, and PC for RTS games.
