 I have a hard time believing that the hundreds of thousands of people buying MarioKart didn't include anyone getting a Wii. You would have us believe it is just grannies and ebay speculators.

 

While demand is still massive only a big game is going to gaurentee that enough traffic will be looking for a Wii that they would normally not find. 



Final* Word on Game Delays:

The game will not be any better or include more content then planned. Any commnets that say so are just PR hogwash to make you feel better for having to wait.

Delays are due to lack of proper resources, skill, or adequate planning by the developer.

Do be thankful that they have enough respect for you to delay the game and maintain its intended level of quality.

no considering last week the PS3 gained its 2nd 3 million seller and 13th million seller.


Similar numbers are true of the Wii but it doesn't stop Wii detractors.

So can we say that the stockpiling myth is not actually a myth?

I'm starting to think Nintendo could ship 300k to NA a week and sell them without blinking an eye, with or without a big release. Though with Smash a month back, Mario Kart last week, and WiiFit in a few weeks, not to mention other smaller games like Boom Blox rounding out the odd weeks, they really have everything going for them. Just imagine what would have happened if developers actually supported it from the get-go, so that it had more decent games... I wouldn't even want to think about it.

 I'm not sure about your analogy.

Why?because a single game (GTA4) outsell the whole Wii's game line,even if Mario Kart Wii and SSBM were there to help,so,in another kind of logic and respecting your opinion,for me the GTA4's performance was a clear winning for any HD game.
