end of core gaming days prediction:

 

E3 2006-The beginning of the end. Wii introduced

 

E3 2008- Armageddon. Wii motion plus introduced. Wii Music. Reggie says Animal crossing was a core game. Massive disappointment. many Wii core gamers selling their Wii.

 

E3 2010- Tape runs out

 Nibris announcd a few weeks ago that Sadness is being developed on the Gamebryo game engine.

 

Gamebryo powers games like Oblivion,  FallOut 3, and Sid Meir's Civilization IV.

On topic tho.. I think thats it is good that people are pushing Wiis graphics, although i think most developers need to shove it at the moment.
With the recent admissions from dev teams that they are doing half assed jobs of Wii games i think this is very encouraging!
Does anybody else think that the next 18 months for Wii will yeild some good results?

I just loled at this because even with more evidence about good third party supoort on the Wii, game journalists still insisting of lack of third party support and most of Wii's games are shovelwares.

I'm absolutely certain of it.    I've stated many times before that good big budget games take 2-3 years of planning and development.  Prior to Wii release, few 3rd parties even glanced at Wii.   Now it's a hit and has been out 18 months.  Just long enough for 3rd parties to take notice, reallocate some resources and start announcing some higher quality titles.

Ug, I forsee a flood of FPSers on the Wii. I am just glad I can get in on the ground floor complaining about it.

Wow so this entire push the Wii hardware thing still hasn't died down XD.

I saw moon - if you guys want to play a fun shooter metroid prime hunters and call of duty brothers in arms
both on the DS both better shooters than anything currently on consoles in my opinion.

DS = best FPS machine 3var!!!
