Does anyone but me understand he is meaning all the games on the console as a whole when speaking about the Nintendo Wii? It doesn't seem so... you guys really need to learn how to comprehend what people type.

He is turned off that developers in general are focusing on more childish games versus more mature based games. He wants a developer to make more mature RPGs, shooters, etc. That is what he is saying.

The thing is ssj12 (Sorry stof) is that they are, and are starting too.  What I always say is that teens only look so far.  They look at a group of things, in this case all the casual games, and label the majority as too 'kiddy' for them as they are all grown up and want grown up stuff.  even though there is probably more adult titles and really great titles available and becoming available (Already announced) then they would probably ever play during the entire generation, but they are just too narrow minded to see it.

It's me...  no really, it IS me!!!

ssj12, have you played NMH? It's very mature, full of satire, blood (If it's the US Version), not to mention terrific gameplay... And it's not an FPS or RPG, and it's not made by Nintendo.

errr.... I think you just proved out my beieve that some users lack the ability to have basic reading comprehension. Point being is that I am not stof. I am ssj12. Two different moderators on the same moderating staff.

Go Buy No More Heroes... NOW!!!

NMH is too cool to be played by 17 yr olds. 17 yr olds don't want violence with explosion of style and creativity, they just want violence :P

thats one game, and i know RE4 and a few others are on the console. What he is meaning there is an extreme lack of content that the other consoles have had. He probably owns NMHs but his point remains the same. There is a lacking of titles for different genres most gamers like. And the WiiWare FF title is not the RPG he is meaning. He wants a full blown story with love, romance, etc, like RPGs have.

I've Heard Fire Emblem Is a Good RPG and has a a really good Story.

And yeah, I get what you're sayin, to an extent... It's just going to take a little time for 3rd party developers to discover Wii is more than a shovelware cashcow... It' similar to DS vs. PSP. Developers were like "OMG It has UB3R C00L GRAFFIX P0W3R", then after a while, most developers moved to the DS From the PSP.

Get a good pc and problem solve for all your "mature" gaming needs .

ssj12 (sorry bout the mixup - I knew it was you I just poted stof by mistake)

And that's just my point. Just because a large portion of games are too 'kiddy' for them, they are blind to the fact that there are many great games available. they are already either here or are being released this year but teens are quick to jump to conclusions and once there desision has been made, are too teenagerish to change their mind for fear of looking un-cool.

For teens it's all about image. unfortunatly, they are just too young to actually make up their own mind and are usually influenced by their peers (Or image) so easily even if they don't think they are.

The most vocal group for 'kiddy' games labelling and 'adult' games are teens, or those in their early 20's who still haven't outgrown their teenager ways.

I think I can't read.  So what you're saying is that being game of the year, selling over 6.3 million (already beat Sunshine) and being critically acclaimed by nearly everybody alive is not enough for a Mario game anymore? Man!  Does Nintendo have their work cut out for them or what?

That is one way of putting it, yes. I expect them to improve upon Super Mario World, or Super Mario 64. I have not seen them do that yet, but there is still time. Your opinion will almost certainly differ. I am very picky with games so the tiny issues stick out to me.
