Forums - Gaming - I don't think I like Nintendo anymore....this is sad....

When i started playing videogames around 1995, i got a Gameboy Pocket and i loved it. The next year, I got a N64(which is my favorite console of all time) and enjoyed the wide range of games, and great games for kids that even adults can't help but enjoy. The Gamecube came out and I wasn't impressed with the range of games. I thought that it was just a bad generation so I waited for the next generation in hopes for a better range of games. The Wii came out and i have to admit that it is incredibly fun to use the motion sensors...for about a month. I still enjoyed the motion sensors but it wasn't INCREDIBLE to me. They have some great games like SSBB, SMG, TP, but some games that sold over a million really just blow my mind like that Carnival game...I'm sure its fun, but come on!!! They are commited to these more childlike games than people my age(17) and above. I doubt they are going to go back to making satisfying shooter games(Metroid Prime is ok, but it comes out once like every 3 years and i am not going to wait that long). So saying all this, I think that Nintendo is not for me.

You will like Ninty again one day. They say they can live without Ninty, but they always come crawling back.

Joke topic?? You listed the over-rated but average SMG as a great game? Well have fun doing whatever else besides playing Wii.

You seem to like all of Nintendo's best franchises still. Just because some people buy other crappy games doesn't mean you should hate the console.

Don't get me wrong, I still love all the Main Nintendo franchises, but i want more than just those same games over and over again. I like to have a GTA or a Final Fantasy, etc. and Nintendo doesn't add any new franchises that just blow my mind.

But i still LOVE Nintendo, just not the path they've been going the last 6 years.

If you knew you that instead of Mario and Zelda, you wanted GTA and FF, why in the world did you get a Wii? Nintendo is who they have always been. Just because your gaming tastes change, why did you assume Nintendo would change too?

SMG is average? What other games compare to SMG? There must be many if it's average.

You like the Wii less because even a few games you don't like sell well, and are convinced Nintendo will stop making the types of games they've always made because of it?

I honestly don't know what to say to this. Hopefully this is a joke thread, and humanity isn't doomed after all.

I personally gave up on nintendos main franchises a while back and there is nothing wrong with that. I find them very childish and uninteresting... Kinda like the same reason I don't watch Disney cartoons anymore. Life is short...can't waste it on things I've experienced 30 times already.

But Nintendo has to make one cool adult mario/zelda game and i'd play it. Here is a video of a Mario concept which I would die to play if a game came out designed in this manner...

In any case, I bought the wii hoping other comapnies(or nintendo) will make great mature games i can play. Boy did I get screwed.

business is like this: if you are selling well, you are doing it right, and keep it that way till things go wrong.
