Ubisoft are on the ball. As long as games like these continue to fund games like Assassins Creed its all good.

Couldent have saied it better ;) Still its a bit disapointing that Imagine Babiez outsold Heavenly Sword :( :P

and NMH and Z&W combine. I'm sadden by the state of gamers taste in DS crowd.

Now, we aren't talking about "The World ends with you" here.. we are talking about a game that got 3.5/10 by IGN. a game plagued with bad mini-games and sub-par touchscreen control.

It's because it's the only game of it's kind.

If young girls want a game like this there choices are this and.... nothing.

This beats nothing for young girls.

Really? How is the game any different than Nintendog? Or any other sim games?

You know.. with the exception that those games actually WORKS and are enjoyable

You're comparing a Baby Simulator and a Dog Simulator?  Seems a bit of a stretch considering the widely different subject matter.

true true... Just like you can't compare a FPS game of shooting human (CoD4) with FPS game of shooting aliens (GeoW/Resistence)... that would JUST be UNFAIR!

A Sim is a Sim.

Actually I agree you can't compare a FPS game where you shoot humans with ones where you shoot aliens.

Atleast when it comes to consumer purchasing behaviors.

There are plenty of people who vastly perfer human shooters, and plenty that perfer sci-fi shooters.

How many people... including huge FPS fans groan when another WW2 shooter is released? When COD5 was revealed to be going back to WW2 everyone was pissed it wasn't going to stay modern warfare like COD4.

The only difference is that there are many many FPS that involve humans and different kinds of aliens.

I doubt people who doesn't like the idea of CoD5 was purely because it was "shooting human", After all CoD4 forces you do shoot human too and people embraced it.

You miss the point again.

They groaned because it was a WW2 shooter... something which is seen as vastly overdone. People were more happy with the "Modern Warfare" setting because they were sick of the WW2 setting that every human based shooter seemed to use. Had CoD4 had the same gameplay, but was set in WW2 i believe if would of sold less.

Just how a girl, might just get sick of raising different types or dogs, or might not like dogs, and instead want to try their hand at raising a baby.

Or how someone might rather try racing jetskis instead of cars.

Had Imagine babyz been. "Imagine Dogz" it likely would of been crushed by Nintendogs and not been a hit.

That's true... Maybe they are sick of good Sims on DS, and decided to change it up a little by playing a garbage game. I can definitely accept that as a reason to purchase this game.

Still there are better Sim games out there than this.

Kingofwale:

I don't know if Babyz is a bad game, but if little girls and their parents ignored a 3.5/10 from IGN, at least they have better judgement than some in videogame related websites!

A better example than "shooting aliens or shooting people" might be to compare GTA to Resident Evil to CoD to MGS. To a lot of people, the differences between genres there are totally lost because it seems like the primary action in all of them is shooting.

"[Our former customers] are unable to find software which they WANT to play."
"The way to solve this problem lies in how to communicate what kind of games [they CAN play]."

Satoru Iwata, Nintendo President. Only slightly paraphrased.

That's the thing.  The example IS lost on him.  Hence why i used something  more specific he can comprehend.

Saying that babies and dogs are the same, in the sense that a sim is a sim.
Remember that all games are pretty much sims.
So, all games are the same?
