I don't know if Babyz is a bad game, but if little girls and their parents ignored a 3.5/10 from IGN, at least they have better judgement than some in videogame related websites!
A better example than "shooting aliens or shooting people" might be to compare GTA to Resident Evil to CoD to MGS. To a lot of people, the differences between genres there are totally lost because it seems like the primary action in all of them is shooting.
