Forums - Gaming - Wii/Gamecube N64 controller adaptor--Is it legitimate/good?

http://www.raphnetshop.com/

Okay, I've seen people using N64 controllers on their Gamecube/Wii, but I really hesitate to buy things that are remotely shady online.  What do you guys think about this?  Is there a better option out there that might be more legitimate?

P.S.  Also, there is a Sega Genesis controller converter as well.

I don't think it'll put your Wii at risk at all...my friend has NES adapters and they work fine...it's pretty simple wiring, so I wouldn't worry about it.

Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

Thanks alot. Anybody else?

my friend got one of these and his wii shorted out

why the hell would your wii short out? that just doesn't make sense as the controller is usually powered from the console, not the other way around. If anything, the controller should be what shorted out...

Seppukuties is like LBP Lite, on crack. Play it already!

Currently wrapped up in: Half Life, Portal, and User Created Source Mods
Games I want: (Wii)Mario Kart, Okami, Bully, Conduit,  No More Heroes 2 (GC) Eternal Darkness, Killer7, (PS2) Ico, God of War1&2, Legacy of Kain: SR2&Defiance

My Prediction: Wii will be achieve 48% market share by the end of 2008, and will achieve 50% by the end of june of 09. Prediction Failed.

Exactly...unless you have some sort of battery powered, yet wired, controller, you have nothing to worry about. Just buy from a popular source.

Well, can anyone a suggest a more popular or legitmate source? Or does anyone recognize the one in the OP.

I use converter controller pieces for my Gamecube/Wii all the time and I have never had an issue with them.

If a console shorted out it was definitely not because of the converter unless you took the converter and hooked it to two consoles at once (like you could with the PS2 to XBOX/Gamecube/Dreamcast converter) and turned both systems on.

The piece might not work after, but the system should work fine.

Well, can anyone recommend good places to get these, or is the site in the OP any good?
