After IGN, and most reviewers with the exception of kotaku and now gametrailers(owned by MTV, which is owned by you know who) claimed that GTA 4 runs, looks, and feels better on the PS3 than on the XBOX 360. Now it seems gametrailers, has indicated that not only do they believe or "sources" believe that GTA 4 ps3 runs at 640p resolution, but that it is in fact the inferior game graphicly.

They also claim that the best experience is on the XBOX 360, not on the playstation 3.

There is some graphical inferiority on the PS3 as well, not just a resolution drop...at least in the GT comparison.  We've seen graphical inferiority on the X360 from other comaprisons so it's hard to ay which one is correct.

 

My advice would be get it for the console you got.   If you don't have either, price and features will determine your choice.

most of it is true to be honest. the servers can't handle the demand for online, it does run at 640p.

the postives are though, is that it just shows that they underestimated demand and the servers aren't even hosted by them anyway, and the game still looks better than the 360 version, even at a lower resolution. pros outweigh the cons imo.

Good to see that this dick-swinging contest is still going strong.

Honestly, who cares if the PS3 version looks nicer? Who cares if the 360 version is a higher resolution? The two look damned near the same.

OMG... GTA on PS3 is running the same resolution (natively) as Halo 3??? ALL HOPE LOST!!! ABANDON SHIP!!!!

okay, joke aside. Maybe that's what causing pop-ins??? sacrificing base resolution for better framerate??

smh@this on going battle about which version is better seriously both versions look damn near identical you guys should just stfu and enjoy a great game (unlike me who has to wait a couple months before i can get to play it)
