Forums - Sony - Star Ocean PSP remakes have possible US release

I would like it, now that Crisis Core is over, I beat Star Wars:RS, beat Ratchet and Clank in no time, and basically everything else is near being beat... I feel like my PSP will go to waste after that so a good RPG would be good. I kinda want Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep but its got a card battle system like Chain of Memories which kinda make me go eh and just want the DS KH game that looks a lot like DS version of Crystal Chronicles but hey its awesome and as long as they have awesome and action oriented battles I'm happy.

MaxwellGT2000 - "Does the amount of times you beat it count towards how hardcore you are?"

Wii Friend Code - 5882 9717 7391 0918 (PM me if you add me), PSN - MaxwellGT2000, XBL - BlkKniteCecil, MaxwellGT2000

Common people everyone was expecting this ... The game did well in Japan , but IMO a it didnt do spectacular . It was obvious that SE will bring it outside Japan , just like they did with the 3 FF games before ...

Some people think sales of a game are not spectacular unless a game sells atleast a million copies.

It is true that TOSE did the remakes but I do not mind.  They improved quite a bit since the PS1 days.

I only played the second one and I loved it. I can tell you if you are a old RPG fan you will love this game.

I can't say much about the first one though...because I have that game in Japanese and my Japanese sucks =/.

First I was mum about this game, but after looking at some gameplay videos on Star Ocean for the PSP. I actually take everything back.

I hope they can bring both of these JRPG's stateside.

This is the gameplay video I was watching on Star Ocean: First Departure:

Is this a Action/RPG?

Well the game did 200k in Japan alone , but seeing that it was bundled and it was suposed to be one of the biggest games of Q4 in Japan , IMO they wanted sales to be higher . But for a remake , and not a FF remake it did pretty well :)

Great news. More games to look forward to for the PSP. Never played the first or second one, but I did enjoy the third one.

Yo kow, you should add this to the PSP 2008 games, even if you're not interested in it. Many people are interested in these games, and it would make the page look beter.

Yes the Star ocean series is more so borderlining the action/rpg genre, you input the attack commands on the fly based on how much energy you have. In star ocean 3 you could set special moves based on which button you held, I think it's the same here, then you could also link special attacks into a personal chain, or chain with your allies.

From 0 to KICKASS in .stupid seconds.

S-E might probably also release more info on SO4 after the remakes get released in America
