Knowing Sony it could have been a 5% increase and they are spinning it..

I would say PS3 should crack 100k for a week or 2 in NA.

Also, The GS, Walmart, and BB near me all had PS3's on the floor.. So it was not an overwelming spike (like 600k...)



End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

off topic but, i did something so fanboyish the otehr day though. i had to put flyers in teh newspapers then deliver them and i noticed bestbuy were onyl advertising 360 version so i threw the flyers out lol....

 Hahahahahahahaha good one lol. you should have gone as far as to make you own ps3 advertisement for GTA IV.

both hardware is going to rise but everyone has already agreed that the ps3 is going to see a bigger sales boost

its ironic EU got exclusive 360 adds YET PS3 took 60% of the sales on day 1...while in NA the opposite happened without such ads

 hmmm, I fail to see how well-planned shipping can be viewed as "lack of sales". Shame that all the Ipods are constantly in store, clearly they aren't selling, right?

Last week's PS3 went up over 15% if I'm not mistake, I don't see them spinning that. :)

If memory serves me correctly, this isn't the first time Sony claimed a huge boost in PS3 sales and those turned out to not be so huge relative to other consoles or historical trends.

Here we get no numbers, no percentages....not even shipment figures.
