As far as reliable hardware goes, Sony and MS dont hold a candle to Nintendo, Although the original xbox was almost indestructible, there was a big problem with those foxcon PSU's.

Sony and their laser issues seems to be something they will never be rid of either.

The GC was an incredible piece of hardware, so small, so powerful and pretty rock solid reliability. Apparently Nintendo never made a loss on the hardware and considering it was sold for next to nothing for its last few years of retail, thats pretty good going.

Nintendo. Because they have been around the longest, have awesome first party games, and have contributed so much to the industry.

Even though I love Nintendo to death...Sega was the one to get me into games so they win for me.

I'm going to have to say Nintendo. The Playstation 3 is the only good console Sony has ever made. Their other consoles were garbage. Nintendo, however, has multiple quality consoles with the Wii being the only bad one they've ever made. Sony still has to prove that they can make great consoles consistently.

where's N-gage?

Nintendo wins hands down and Sony is a distant second. Nintendo practically saved video games with the NES. All their consoles were great even when they weren't the market leaders. They're the most durable too (I dropped my SNES so many times never affected anything).

Where is NEC ?

Nintendo by far...

Wii, SNES, GBA, DS.... all excellent gaming platforms.
