You should only be allowed to vote on games listed in your "Games I Own" list. The score should appear in your games list beside the game. People should be able to sort your games list by your score. Average scores for all users should not be calculated.

All that does in make the user add an additional click before they press 1/10.

It would have been a fine feature if you Wii fans wouldn't have fucked it up.

What this site needs is a dedicated review crew. Twenty posters that are serious about reviewing newly released games. Twenty should cover all the platforms, and would ensure that most of the major titles were reviewed. That way not only would the scores be far more accurate, but it might mean official reviews could be placed on the game pages.

The result would be some very good reviewing, and reviewing that would be meaningful. Since you will know who exactly reviewed said title, and you will be able to read their review, and see whether you think it is valid.

It would be nice if you could see who voted what.

Maybe we could do individual ratings
or something to solve this

i think that the highest ranked games should be removed from the front page and replaced by an extension to the release date section.  any system too combat fanboyism would require the scores given be tied back to each user and and viewable by the public.  if the scoring was brought back i think it should be tied to the user as well as requiring a 50-100 word minimum summary to go along with the score.

It definitely says something about the kind of people around here... Fanboys are everywhere, sure, but I just don't see the user scores are that bad in Metacritic compared to this site.

The only reviews here that matter are Rubang's Reviews anyway. Stay tuned for my upcoming installment of Blaster Master!

we could just import gamerankings or metacritic scores
