I have both games and these photos dont do the wii version justice. The wii version is a jump over DD in graphics.

To me they will look the same, neither looks better than the other, just htat MK Wii runs at 60fps and supports 480p which still looks like $hit on an HD TV.

I have both Double Dash and MK:Wii. The Wii version, graphically, is an improvement in every way. Some of the tracks from older versions aren't anything "special" but the newer tracks blow anything that DD had right out of the water.
I'd say that if you haven't played it, the screenshots aren't going to help you see the difference...

480P does not look like crap on an HDTV. I have an 8 foot wide image from an HD projector that will kick your little HDTV's ass, and Wii games like SMG, MP3, SSBB, and even MKWii look very good on it. And don't tell me I don't have an eye for this kind of thing. I spent a few years setting up and tweaking high end home theater systems, so I know the difference. Granted, HD systems look better, but that does not mean the Wii automatically looks bad.
480P from a DVD looks bad on a screen that big because the video signal is compressed to fit on the DVD, removing fidelity color, and clarity from the image. The 480P signal from the Wii comes straight off the graphics processor, so it is not compressed like a DVD. Because of this, the 480P image from the Wii looks great compared to a standard DVD. The Wii looks even better if you run it through a good scaler first to upscale the image to 1080P.

leo-j just got owned.
I don't see any difference!
However, I'm too runk to stand legally, so I guess I don't count right nowh. =//
I honestly don't see much of a difference in these pictures. I do, however, own both games, and I have to admit, the Wii version does look better than the GC version during actual gameplay.
Add me on Xbox Live: TopCat8
There may be a slight difference in these poor comparison shots, but even they aren't a generation's worth of difference.

Yes, Nintendo, just like EA, does not put any effort into their games and it shows in the sales numbers. |
Sales numbers don't mean effort. I'm not sure what your point is here. Madden sells well every year. So dos Fifa. EA puts efforts into their sports games and they improve every year (well most years, with only a year development). Nintendo puts effort into their titles and the good ones sell. Anyway, the screens barely look different. Compared to any racer on PS3 and 360, it pales. You can nitpick all you want, but the game looks like Double Dash. I don't thnk Brawl and Galaxy look much better than the previous games, either, so I'm not sure why people are haling those as great improvements. I've seen the Galaxy and Sunshine comparisons on gametrailers, I believe it was. Look, I own Brawl and have loved every Kart game, but just stop arguing that minor graphical improvements are somehow a great leap. You can't make great leaps with last-gen tech! Please, please, accept this. If you argue that gameplay is all that matters, then just talk about how great the gameplay is! Stop also trying to tell people the graphics are much better as if you are trying to convince yourself. They aren't. But it clearly doesn't matter to the game sales. so who cares at this point? If you want HD graphics, get a PS3 or 360.
i thought this was a comparison? not a bunch of mkwii screenshots...
