For a while now, almost everyone who can say Goo-Gaa, has been saying that the PS3 and 360 are dead in Japan, with only a few people still holding their flags and praying for their horse to pull back ahead before they lose their life's savings to a greasy con-man... So I took a close look at the Japan sales for all three home consoles...
-This week (April 19th), the PS3 has reached all time new lows in Japan. This is the least they've ever sold since its launch, and it doesn't look like they'll bounce back any time soon.
-This week (April 19th), 360 sales have dropped below a level that it hasn't been below sine before the launch of the Wii and PS3.
-That the PS3 has been in straight decline over the last 7 weeks, and that the 360 has been in decline (Not including very small boosts in sales) for 8 weeks
The situation look's very grim... And right now, I have to agree with the "HD Consoles are Dead in Japan" People. They don't look like they'll be rising in sales at all. (Exept new Final Fantasy launch)
Since the week after Christmas:*Approx*
PS3 has had a 78% drop in weekly sales.(Down 29 000 units)
360 has had a 70% drop in weekly sales.(Down 3 500 units)
Wii has had a 49% drop in weekly sales.(Down 41 000 units)
Hope you enjoyed.
