So why is this such a popular platform to launch attacks against the one version?

 It certainly does originate here. Pronounced with a soft 'wh' rather than a hard 'w', which many accents don't differentiate between. To many Scottish accents, there is an audible difference between 'whine' and wine', or 'what' and 'watt', although it is apparently dying out up here, and little known elsewhere (and that's 'else-where', nor 'else-ware)

A-a-a-a-a-anyway, let me whinge a little as well. I won't be getting my game for another 16 hours. That sucks. No midnight opeing within close enough range for me. And, worse, being a dad, I couldn't really stay up all night playing it even if there were -- I have to be up with the kids at 6am.

OT: Gamestop called and I'll get my copy after I get home from work Tuesday. I won't likely play it until Friday anyhow. And then, it's our anniversary this weekend, so I'll be in AZ tossin' it up.

No GTA IV for me until next week, likely.

This happens with every major launch event. The following week is much the same the forums go into doldrums, as a huge percentage of the forums do not show up. This game is probably going to do more damage then most seeing as it is a game that is near perfection, and is launching on two platforms. Even most of the multiple console owners will be found missing in action. So probably sixty percent of the posters will vanish over night especially the more vocal ones.

Enjoy the excesses while they last. Tomorrow this forum will be a shell of its former self. This forum will be over ninety percent Nintendo represented. I am kind of curious to see what that looks like. When they vanish for their big launches the conversation almost turns for the more dynamic. Hey that is something to look forward to.
