that you really enjoy and think others might like.  games can be from either xbox or xbox 360.

please include a little information about the game.

please only 1 game per post, you can make multiple posts, but please wait for others to post before posting a second time ;)

I would like to suggest the game Gladius for the xbox.   You run a gladitorial school and you travel around competing in arenas.  There is a wide range of people you can recuit to your forces including things like barbarians, military, sorcerers, yetis, minotaur, undead, animals as well as a number of other interesting classes with all sorts of special skills.  You can purchase equipment to enhance all your people.  Combat is turn based and can require some strategy.  There is a leveling system that allows you to chose more skills.  The battles are diverse but can get repetitive if you play for too long straight, so take a break sometimes ;).   (game was released multi-platform, so if you might be able to find a cheap version if you have more systems)

It kills me having to narrow this down to one game. I'll go with an X-Box classic that is backwards compatible with the 360:

Guilty Gear XX #Reload=It's STILL the definitive version of Guilty Gear as it's the only version with online multiplayer, regardless of the fact that it's been redone multiple times since then. The game has quite possibly the greatest art direction in 2D i've ever seen, has a vast amount of original characters that ooze personality and is the competitor's fighting game with a huge learning curve. Here's the screenshots of this beauty:

GTA4

EDIT: You asked that I have played.... I think the most rush I ever got out of a game that was on the xbox or 360, was CoD4 (I played the PS3 version, but it's the same game), but if you only get one game, it might not be the longest experience.

I don't think anyone needs GTAIV or COD4 to be suggested to them at this point. Why not something a little less mainstream that could actually help out a purchaser?

Ok, I really enjoyed Kameo. It was a 360 launch title, and it's not that high profile, but it was a very fun game to play :)

I'm really excited by the prospect of Kameo 2.  The first games major issues were low production values and a short length, which would hopefully be rectified by a properly done second title.
