 Doubtful.  Re-releases happen all the time.  It likely won't even be out for a year or two.   It would be nice but not necessary.  I didn't expect them to give you a discount for RE4:Wii if you have the old RE4 or a discount for Compilations if you have the old versions.

sounds too good to be true. but if it came out i would definitely buy it. prime 1 is one of my all time favorite games. xD

Needs to be true. I would love to play 1 and 2 with the wii controls, and maybe some updated graphics.

I would buy it, probably and I have all 3 games already. But the prime trilogy is the most overlooked series of FPS, er FPA or whatever you want to call it, it's an amazing series and the chance to play through them again with awesome controls would be spectacular. And if they did any kind of bonus content (a new boss or two, online multiplayer for prime 2, maybe spiff up the graphics a bit, ect) that would totally sell it.

/swt ... They announce that when I just got a used Metroid Prime 1 yesterday, too... I could have waited for this thing to come out if I knew about this sooner. *sigh*
