That’s always how my phones go out. My theory is that the processor isn’t capable of handling the latest OS from Apple, causing it to overheat. And being so old and its interior deteriorated, that just makes things worse to a point when the heat literally has undone the glue on my phone screen.

I should add that only recently the daily high in TX dropped below triple digits. Now it’s a cool and crisp 85-90 every day. (I guess its understandable why my phone would be overheating, in retrospect….)

Devices do of course wear out over time, but this is also partly intentional; companies know that if they make a device that will last 20 years, you're less likely to upgrade any time soon, so they make stuff out of poor quality materials on purpose, so that it dies after a few years, again as a way of forcing people to keep buying one ones

Just make them smaller and lighter if they don’t go the hybrid route.

Yeah, that is my major annoyance with XBOX - both SONY and Nintendo have standardized gyro in their controllers, and most common input protocol that is used on PC (XBOX' XInput ) still doesn't support it.

Yeah it's genuinely baffling they still don't have it, when their controllers are so generally excellent in most ways. The 360 and XBO pads were the most comfortable of their generations for me for instance, yet they continue to fall short in this respect.
