Anybody here with 40GB PS3 and wants to put in a PS2 game and let us know? Thanks

If I remember correctly, some early PS2 games were on CD's instead of DVD's.........maybe that explains it?

If it could, we would have known about it weeks after the 40 GB model released.

Smells like a...

The 60/20 GB models have both the Emotion Engine and the Graphics Synthesizer. The 80 GB models don't have the Emotion Engine, but they still have the GS. The 40 GB model have NO Emotion Engine and NO Graphics Synthesizer. The Emotion Engine can be emulated by software, but the GS can't, because of it's 48GB/s eDRAM. The PS3 can't emulate that because it's RAM is nowhere as fast.

So, it's like The Cake: A lie.

Tested with NHL 2001 (Launch cd-based PS2 game). It did not work.
