Sure maybe the developers requested that, but as the publisher ultimately the decision and control is Nintendo's as I said.

Well obviously since they are the ones making the carts... You could say that about every game releasing on the Switch 2.

Nope getting the game manufactured and distributed is literally the publishers entire job. That you think this second party has the ultimate power over Nintendo on a Nintendo published game that is a Nintendo IP is insane.

To my understanding, where Nintendo is publishing will be full on the cart for this game and where Koei is publishing (Japan, etc) it’s going to be a key card.

If thats the case, then why didnt Nintendo release Pokemon Pokopia on a cart? They were the publishers for that game outside of Japan.

EDIT: Seems like Age Of Calamity for Switch 2 is already confirmed to be a GKC in North America, so Im guessing it will be in Europe as well. Koei Tecmo strikes again. Such a shame. Really wanted to upgrade to this one.
