Forums - Nintendo - Post your first impressions on Wii Fit here

Here are mine:

I was just playing this game alternately with my girlfriend for a couple of hours (after digesting my dinner while playing Mario Kart). I think it's great so far, and just what I needed to motivate myself for some exercise. The presentation value of the game is very good, and it encourages you to do the exercises. I found that I gained a few kgs which I didn't know about yet, although my BMI is still in the good range (184 cm, 81 kg, BMI almost 24), so I'll be using this game to lose some weight, while trying to improve my mediocre balance and strength.

It made me feel good to play this game. For once, I was using a console for something focused on me, which makes it a unique experience. I think it will help my shape, as well as my well-being, as your psychological state is closely tied to your physical shape.

If you don't already have a regular exercise program and you don't have the time or patience to regularly leave your home to go for one, do buy this game. It's not one of cheapest games around, but it seems to be money well spent. It feels like I gave myself a present by buying this. In hindsight, if I didn't have the money to buy it, I should have sold one of my least played games to help finance it, but fortunately money wasn't a problem for me.

PS: Someone mentioned that the game looks ugly, but I think it looks perfect for its purpose. The simple graphics help you focus on the movements shown on the screen, instead of "wow, look at the thousands of polygons on that ass"... That goes for the exercises focused on imitating movements, in the games section the graphics are akin to Wii Sports's.

Sold out everywhere in the towns near me and I saw 2 ladies both in their late 30s/early 40s carrying them down the high street today.

The only person I saw carrying one was a young guy (no, he wasn't fat if you're curious).

i was this close to buying a wii because of it, but then i realised i didn't bring my debit card, thank god i didn't buy. gta is just around the corner and i would have made a big mistake. curse my impulse buying ways.

when i have money i will buy it, i want to do some exercise, despite of not being fat.

This game seems like another winner.

It's even better than I thought.

Well this is very first impression as all my wife & I have done is no our age test and play one item each ( then I had to leave for work ). To start with buying this game gave me a feel good factor only on par with getting the wii in the first place. I am really exited about getting into a habit of using this each morning.

The board is really well made, a solid piece of kit. It's easy to set up as you would expect. I tried the skiing it was harder than I expected. The board is very sensitive I tryed 3 runs and was starting to sus the slight weight adjustments needed. But as soon as I missed a gate and had to do a big correction I tended to miss a few befor I was back on target.

My Wife tried one of the stretching/toning exercises the tutoring advice seemed useful. I truly think it will add an exorcises element to our life style which can not be a bad thing. Personally I am only just in to the ideal BMI line so I will be trying to add a little mussel mass.

well I'm getting it on Monday..

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

2nd day with 45 mins both days... still loving it, especially the running part, still sweating like a pig after

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)
