Snakes, spiders are easy to kill, snakes on the other hand are hard to spot around here (desert) and since the Rattler is native, and deadly, snakes scare me more.

Well, where I live, there's black widows, copperheads, cottonmouths, water moccasins, and a host of other deadly snakes and spiders. I hate all of them, but have confronted both types when it was necessary.

I bet humans have a specific gene that causes fear of snake (and stuff that crawls like snakes do). Or at least most people do (have the gene activated). Fear of snakes we seem to be born with.

This for me too. I have no idea why. One day I was playing RE:4 at night, and I saw a flash of movement on the ground. I looked and it was a spider crawling under my bed. I left my room and slept on the couch, lol.

Snakes! I despise both snakes and spiders, but spiders are easier to kill. I've killed countless spiders, but only two snakes in my life. One snake I killed by running him over with my vehicle on the road, the other I killed with a shovel.

Normally if I see a snake, I head the other way, but the one with the shovel was different. I was working a cruddy plumbing job and was in a small, contained area, 6X8 feet I'd say. I was moving some busted bricks out of the way with the shovel and a small(about 6 inches) copperhead popped out. Being in the confined area, I immediately decided to attack rather than turn my back and struck a mighty blow with the shovel!!! He dodged it....which terrified me. The second blow got him, then I hacked him in half and walked away until I no longer felt like I was about to have a heart attack.

I would say spiders. If I had to I would just take an axe to the head of a snake.

@mistershine, how can u be scared of spiders if u live in the UK, there arent any that can harm humans, snakes on the other hand there is adders but i dont know any1 whos seen one letalone been bitten by one. Personaly scorpions freak me out the most, me and my brother were in turkey and decided we wanted to find a snake so we went into bushes flipping over big rocks (very bad idea) we found a big flat rock and flipped it over underneath was a huge black shiny scorpion, luckily it just sat there and looked angry.
