I was 14 when I played it. Coming from playing games like Final Fantasy VII, Metal Gear, Tomb Raider, and Resident Evil, it didn't seem that great to me, especially since I'm a fan of Link to the Past and Awakening, which I consider the best Zelda games. However, I enjoyed it, and it's an 7 out of 10 for me.

I played Ocarina and Majora on emulator about a decade ago, only Zeldas I've ever really played anyway.
I'm generally not fond of action adventure/platformers. But I certainly have to admit it's a good game, 9/10. I don't agree with anyone saying it's the best game ever, but top 100/50/20 is fair (depending how many games you've played).

I didn't quite like Majora's Mask as much, but that was mostly just due the whole time system, I don't care for having time limits. Otherwise it was even better in some aspects like character side stories.

Though I haven't played much new games (as in this decade or even last), so I'm not quite judging Zelda same as someone used to modern gaming.

Easiest 10/10 in gaming history

It's impossible to separate nostalgia from my relationship with this game, they are intertwined into one big package. I've been playing this game ever since I was 7 to 8 years old. But, I've also played a myriad of games as a kid that I consider horrible messes today. Nostalgia is important but I'm definitely not blinded by it. Ocarina of Time is the real deal.

The controls are great, the music, the graphics, the gameplay flow, the sound effects, the dungeon design, the character design, the story design. Oot is a certified masterpiece. Flawed in a few areas, but nonetheless great.

Never played OoT, though Majora’s Mask sits within my top five favorite games of all time. Single-handily broke my several-years-long hiatus from gaming (late-2019 through December 2022).

If this is about the remake, then it will be modern graphics coated over the classic OoT story, which is imo the best story in the whole series, so yeah, there is a lot to be excited about. And I love the wild games, but I do think I like the old Zelda structure more.

Now speaking about the original, the only thing I think doesn't hold up today is the graphics (which was very good for a 1998 console game). The game basically created modern action/adventure games with Z-targeting and context sensitive buttons, so it's still solid to play today.
