This is getting some decent buzz, especially after the review scores started coming. 1-2 million first week not out of the realm of possibility.

2.2 million in it's first 4 days

2.2 million with two more days of hype and momentum....
Yeah, its doing well
The Democratic Nintendo fan....is that a paradox? I'm fond of one of the more conservative companies in the industry, but I vote Liberally and view myself that way 90% of the time?

This is at least 600~700k above what I was expecting
The best comparison is Let's Go (similar userbase, similar debut, same IP). It started with 3 million and reached 15 million in ~5 years
This one has potential to have even better legs. Traditional Pokemon games have their legs cut when a new generation is released. This one will likely keep selling for as long Switch 2 is alive
These numbers are also similar to those of Super Mario Odyssey in its first 3 days on sale: 2 million copies. It's fair to say this is a big hit for Nintendo, considering this was sold out everywhere.
I feel that number of copies digitally makes this even higher as I have to believe a percentage went digital instead of the keycard

Considering the stock shortages of the physical release in a lot of places 2.2 million in 4 days is a really good result. Lets see how well sales hold up over the coming months and years.

Man, I feel so good about my call. I knew this game was gonna be a hit— had there not been such a shortage of supply, it would’ve almost certainly topped 3mil.
Those are some insane figures for a Pokémon spin-off game BTW. Crazy to think Pokopia is moving copies as though it’s a mainline entry pre-Switch.

| IcaroRibeiro said: This is Switch 2 exclusive. Legends ZA moved 610k in first week in Japan on Switch 2 and 870k on Switch 1, there is no way Pokopia is selling 1 million units in Switch 2 alone. If it moves 500k it would be already a smash hit and well beyond Nintendo's expectations |
Well look how the tables have turned.
