Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Wii Bashing Week Still In Full Effect

Let's see ...a console with
-- inferior graphics compared to the competition
-- massive amounts of shovelware
-- an appeal to casual gamers
-- inferior on-line gaming experience
-- holding on to old tech through backwards compatability
-- and selling to beat the band

Folks, I've just described -- the PS2. All it did was clean everyone's clock in sales
(PS2 > 2*(Xbox+GC))

Admittedly, the PS2 opened with better third-party support -- mainly because of the PS1. But it was predicted to do well. The Wii was thought to be Nintendo's last gasp. Now it has had as much success as the Last Hope. And some can't accept that things have shifted.

I am Mario.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

It's pretty pathetic what this guy said, it all depends what type of gamer you are.

With Wii Fit apparently selling very well in Europe, next week we may even have more anti-Wii rants to lighten our mood!

I agree with the article.*reads it a couple of minutes later*

LoL, I admit, that was funny.

Anyway, who the hell is Rungsberry and why am I reading his blog?

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

LoL, so Nintendo took the PS2's strategy and the PS3 took the Xboxes, and sales reflected changing times.

Why do guys like this author feel the need to tell me that my $250 box of awesomeness isn't as fun as I think it is? Does it give him a massive woody, to display his elitist point of view? I like Burger King, Tennis shoes, porn, and Nintendo Wii. If you don't, I could care less. Let me be happy.

I don't know why Nintendo fan's would be offended ( or even notice articles like this for that matter) unless there's some truth to them.

The Wii is the strongest Hardware seller , Software seller basicly everthing seller out of the 3 , Nintendo are making billions of dollars , everyone seems to be happy with Wii-Play and Wii-Fit esque games.

So what's the problem ? people are always eager to criticise successes , it requires a stronger show of intelligence.

I can see this guy dressed in his wizard robes casting level 2 magic spells on all the Wii lovers in the world... In hopes to topple the Nintendo empire.
