good direct for those who don't own systems or travel a lot. but for me, bunch of old games I have already beaten.

Quick announce the first party direct for tomorrow. I need something to be hyped about again.

Well I think they're very different games on different engines. Cyber Sleuth was originally a Vita game, it's minimum requirement on PC is a GPU from 2008 lol. Time Stranger is a lot more demanding and struggles on Steam Deck but it seems they think they can get the job done. |
Oh yeah, I forgot it was a Vita game. Time does fly.

I'm really wondering how that runs, hopefully they did a good job. As it said in the presentation it's only 30fps on SW2. It also has trouble running on Steam Deck unless you drop to lowest settings... |
Never mind I somehow completely missed it had a 60fps performance mode lmao, I think it was a different game that I was thinking of.

It also has trouble running on Steam Deck unless you drop to lowest settings... Oblivion Remastered on SW2 is also going to be interesting to see as that game was notoriously CPU heavy, I will probably get it on SW2 if it's a good port and at least holds a steady 30fps, though a 40fps mode would be my unlikely wish. |
Digimon TS will have two modes on S2: 4K 30FPS/1080p 60FPS docked; 1080p 60FPS/1080 (I guess dynamic) 30FPS handheld.

That was a solid Partner Direct—
(i) Orbitals got a new trailer and a release window (Summer 2026),
(ii) third-party support appears to be continuing into the new year (FFVII Rebirth, Turok: Origins, and Digimon Story Time Stranger are all coming in only a few months, Hollow Knight got its NS2 Edition patch shadow dropped, etc.),
(iii) SquEnix's Avdentures of the House of Elliot got a new trailer and release date,
(iv) Super Bomberman Collection is neat! (though, being a PC gamer, not super interesting for me TBH),
(v) (Finally!) we got some release dates on several Bethesda projects,
(vi) and demos for the two big Capcom games are coming later today to NS2.
That all said, I think my hopes were a little too high... no Black Myth Wukong, no Call of Duty, no Clair Obscur, no Rayman, and no Sonic. So in that regard, I'm a tad bit disappointed; however, on the bright side, this is the first partner showcase from Nintendo that had me glued to every single reveal (with the exception of some filler trailers e.g. that one dinosaur stealth game lol).
Rating: 7/10.
It was an ok Direct - things we knew about look great but it's unfortunate there was nothing on Duskbloods or any exciting new announcements I didn't expect... except for this, which makes me very happy:
!!!
Nintendo Japan have the better quality of the trailers (for Switch 2 version of the games), so I'll put the channel here: https://www.youtube.com/@NintendoJP
